Harmony Week Mini Hearts

Product Details

Harmony Day is celebrated in Australia on the 21st March. It is about celebrating cultural diversity, tolerance and inclusiveness of all Australians. The main message of Harmony Day is, everyone belongs. This Harmony Week Mini Hearts activity is designed to encourage students to think about how we all may have individual differences but can still contribute to a happy and peaceful world.

How to use this Resource:

  • Discuss the idea of ‘Everyone belongs’ – what does this mean in your classroom? School? Community? (You might like them to record their ideas on the template provided)
  • Give each student a Harmony Heart. Ask them to decorate it in any way they like.
  • Come together to discuss how each heart is different but has its own special features. It is just like us; even though we all have differences, it doesn’t mean we can’t live in harmony together.

No further teacher prep needed, simply print use.

We hope you and your students enjoy this resource!
