This Blooms/Gardner’s grid and 42 tasks cards are designed to be used as individual lessons, literacy rotation tasks or fast finishing activities.
The Back to School Creative Thinking Matrix for Years 3- 6 has been created to encourage creative and critical thinking. We have included each activity on the grid as task cards too in order to assist you in using these activities in various ways within your classroom.
Inclusions:
• Blooms/Gardners Matrix
• 42 colour coded task cards for every activity
Differentiation:
This pack is designed to cater for a range of learners and learning styles in the classroom. The grid and tasks increase in difficulty. We advise you to encourage particular students to work on tasks that are at their level (the task cards may be handy for this too). Activities also range from completely individual tasks to tasks that students can work on in streamed OR mixed ability pairs or triads.
How this pack works:
Personally, I love using matrix style activities such as these in my classroom. I feel it allows for students to learn about their personal learning styles and how they like to learn best. It also involves student choice and voice, which is so important in the 21st century classroom. When starting a grid such as this, I like to spend time talking about each task and my expectations. Then we may start on an activity as a whole group or students may go ahead and choose activities according to where their learning needs and wants are. The best part is that it involves flexible learning where the children often get very enthusiastic, excited and engrossed in what they are doing.
No further teacher prep needed, simply print and use!

This is a conversation every educator needs to hear! Today, we dive deep into advocacy for neurodiverse learners in the classroom with Lydia.
Lydia was formally in the medical field and is now a teacher. She is also a mother of 3 children. Her son has a diagnosis of Tourette Syndrome, OCD and ADHD and one daughter has a diagnosis of ADHD.
Lydia shares how she has advocated for her children over the years and how important it is for schools and parents to work together as a team.
We also chat about the diverse needs in her own classroom, how tears are okay during your first year (in fact they are normal) and we also touch on the power of having a cheerleader who wholeheartedly believes in you.
Save this conversation and then share it with a friend because it is gold.
