Our Learning at Home Pack is perfect for those times when students might not be able to be at school. However, you may be required to provide them activities to complete due to an extended family holiday when a child is unwell or if there is a school closure for distance learning. If that is the case, our learning at home pack includes a collection of literacy, numeracy and inquiry-based activities that can easily be completed at home.
Included in the pack is a DIGITAL and PRINTABLE VERSION of the activities.
We have created some templates which can be duplicated and used multiple times by the students over a week or a fortnight. We have placed a black or white star in the left-hand corner of those templates. They include the number of the day templates, spelling templates, the book review template along with the ‘What I’m curious about’ activity sheet and the ‘My Creations Booklet’.
Additionally, we have included a note that you can send to parents with the pack you create for your students.
How the digital resource works:
This resource is a Google presentation. It is compatible with Chromebooks, laptops and Google Apps on a tablet. Use with Google Classroom. Students must have a Google account to use.
Share the presentation with your students and allow them to work through the grids at their own pace, choosing the activities that best suit their learning style.
INCLUSIONS:
Teacher Tip: Print off pages half size or back to back to save paper.
You can find more teaching ideas on our blog post, ‘Planning for a School Closure’.
