This positive affirmation display has been designed for students to speak a positive phrase aloud for 30 days because we all are a rainbow of possibilities.
Speaking positive words has been proven to be beneficial to one’s well-being, so why not impart the benefits onto the students in your care.
Inclusions:
•‘You are a rainbow of possibilities’ sign
•30 rainbow number cards
•30 positive affirmations
•30 question prompts
• Instruction on how to print display and examples of the layout
How to use this resource:
•We suggest placing the display in a visible position in your classroom. I like to place it on my whiteboard since I have a one that flips at the front and can be seen by the students every day.
•Make the display part of your morning routine or morning meetings.
•We’ve included question prompts in an additional file if you wish to use them for journal writing or during reading group rotations. The prompts can be just there as a verbal prompt for students to share with each other.
This display can be used anytime during the year. You may wish to start the year on a positive tone and instil positive learning habits. Alternatively, your class may be needing a pick me up partway through the year and this is a great way to do that! It could even be used as a display outside your classroom to encourage students beyond your class and become a topic of positive discussion upon the classes.
We hope you and your students find many benefits to this resource being part of your classroom!
