The perfect resource to help spread a little more kindness this Christmas. The aim of is for students to explore the idea of being kind and completing random acts of kindness, leading up to the Christmas season. It focuses and encourages looking beyond oneself and showing kindness to others
How this resource works:
Introduce the advent calendar ideally 18 days before the end of the school year. Set up the display in the classroom or provide students with a handout and recording template. To have the best impact encourage students to complete at least 1 act of kindness on the advent calendar.
When they complete a suggested act, they can record it in the template by writing or colouring a bauble. A blank advent calendar has been included for those wanting to encourage students or a class to create their own Kindness advent calendar.
This resource includes everything you need to spread a little more kindness in your classroom this festive season.
Inclusions:
Teacher tip: If you don’t have time to create the full display, enlarge to A3 size for a communal class calendar for bigger impact.
No further teacher prep needed, simply print and enjoy watching kindness spread around your classroom and school!

Schools can be super inspiring and fun or they can be a total downer (trust us, we have seen it all in our teaching careers). It is so important that teachers come to work every day feeling happy and supported because it is crucial for the well-being and overall vibe of the staff.Â
When your team at work feel appreciated and enjoys being part of the staff team, that energy reflects in the amazing experiences we create for our students.
Today, we share some of our favourite ways to show teachers and colleagues that you care. We chat about:
Building a school culture that values each other and teacher well-being is a key to success. Not only will teachers feel supported and valued, but the culture will also rub off on the students in our care.
Before you head off, please share this episode with another teacher. Implementing these ideas is always so much more fun when you have a partner in crime.Â
Rainbows ahead,
