Why teachers LOVE the Flip It Games

This Halloween edition takes one of our most-loved math activities and gives it a Halloween upgrade. The best part? It’s hands-on, engaging, and totally no-prep –  just print and play.

Your students will be practising their multiplication and division facts in a way that feels more like a game than a worksheet. It’s the ultimate trick and treat for teachers wanting to make math feel fun again.

How to use it in the classroom

These Halloween Flip It games are designed to slot right into your October math routine. You can use them for:

  • Math centres or numeracy rotations
  • Whole-class review sessions
  • Small group interventions or extensions
  • Fast finisher activities
  • Homework or home learning tasks

The games are flexible enough to suit any teaching style or classroom setup. Students can play individually or in pairs depending on the learning goal or the amount of time you have.

Many teachers even send a few boards home as a fun and simple way for families to practise times tables together – because who doesn’t love a bit of spooky learning fun?

Differentiation Made Easy

One of the best things about Flip It is how easily it can be differentiated to meet every student where they’re at. You can:

  • Give students different gameboards based on the times tables / division facts they’re currently learning
  • Allow students to choose their own focus fact to build confidence and ownership over their learning
  • Encourage more capable students to time themselves and try to beat their personal best
  • For students who need extra support, use smaller number facts or focus on repeated addition and subtraction to reinforce foundational understanding

These small tweaks make it possible for every learner to experience success while practising important numeracy skills.
